Learning Commons News!
Yahoo! We’ve been reading and then reading some more. Students paired up with their buddy classes to share stories together in the Learning Commons. We created a fairytale castle for Knight Reading and students cozied up with flashlights in the little tent, under the tables and behind the canopies. Great fun!
Mask Magic Ms. Hopkin’s and her class created wonderful clay masks this week at the Surrey Art Gallery. Check out Ms. Hopkin’s lovely creative work as well!
Intermediate Assembly with Aboriginal Facilitator – Candace Crockford
Ms. Crockford is Coast Salish, from the Katzie First Nation born and raised in Langley, BC. Since the age of four she has been an avid dancer from ballet to Irish Tap to Pow Wow dancing. She has a deep passion for learning and teaching about her First Nation culture and shared her story, aboriginal history of the area, regalia making and Pow Wow dancing with our students.
