Students in Division 10 talked about friendship and we read Chris Raschka’s Book ‘Yo! Yes?’ and created our own interpretation of the story. We tweeted out our video and Chris Raschka favourited our work!

While reading some great Christmas stories, we discussed how to determine character and setting. Some Grade 1 and 2 students contributed to a slideshare to show their learning.

Personal Device Usage

Intermediate students at GV may bring personal devices to school, though this is not required.  Our school is fortunate to be well equipped with computers, iPads and laptops.  When students choose to bring devices, the school does not take responsibility for lost, stollen or damaged personal property.  Georges Vanier staff are committed to raising responsible digital citizens and integrating this important learning into many areas of the curriculum.  Please look forward to more information about respectful digital citizenship at GV in the New Year.

Parent / Teacher Conferences

Thanks to the many parents / guardians who were able to join us for meetings at school last Thursday.  Please know that you are always welcome to schedule a meeting with staff to discuss your child’s progress.  We appreciate and value the positive partnerships that we build with parents and families at GV.
