Learning Commons News!
Primary students so enjoyed listening to Mo Willems’ Elephant and Piggie story that they asked for me to read it again. Instead I asked them to tell it to me as I turned the pages. I secretly recorded their story. So much fun!

TRACK ATTACK AND TRACK & FIELD
Students from Grades 2 to 7 have been participating in Track Attack to get outside and start working on their run, jump, throw skills. Please help get your children outside to play catch, run a few blocks or jump into our big GV long jump pit.
Track and Field season is just around the corner! If your child is in Grade 3-7 and are interested in track and field disciplines such as short and long distance running, long jump, triple jump, high jump, discus, and shot put, then they are encouraged to participate. Because of the dedication of so many Vanier staff members, we are fortunate to be able to offer all these events to students. Thank you teachers!
Permission forms will be given to students. Practices begin soon will continue for the month of May. Near the end of the month, students who can achieve District standards will be selected to participate in the District Track Meet at Bear Creek Park. If your child is selected for this event, a separate permission form will be given to them later in May.
