Band Concert

We were treated to a great concert by our band students this week. Mr. Hochman and the students have been working hard all year and presented us with a wonderful selection of musical numbers. Everyone enjoyed the presentation and many are looking forward to their chance to participate next year. Well done.

Georges Vanier has got the Moves!

What a fabulous event! “Dance in Schools” For the first time at Georges Vanier, “Dance in Schools” came for a week to teach our students dance. The transformation over the course of the week was amazing! Parents, staff and students were all blown away with the performances on Wednesday afternoon. From Kindergarten all the way up to Grade Seven, our students demonstrated they are able to learn dance steps, combine them into a routine and perform it all in front of an adoring crowd!

A huge thank you again to our PAC for helping sponsor this event for our students. A great experience for all. If you would like a copy of your students dance, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.

On your Mark, Get Set…

Go! What a great Sports Day this year! Our Grade Seven students really stepped it up this year and were great leaders for our K-6 groups. Students participated in everything from parachute games to potato spoon relays and tones of fun in between.

The sun was shining, team spirit could be heard loud and proud and smiles were seen from one side of the field to the other! All in all, another great day for Vanier!

It’s that time again…

Calling all bookworms! Ms. Crosland hopes you have all enjoyed using the resources in the Learning Commons this year but all items borrowed from the school are now due back.

If you are unable to locate lost items, a small donation to assist with replacement costs is helpful. If this is not possible, a little note to Ms. Crosland is appreciated.
