This will be the first of two new ProD days that will be added to our school calendar, as teachers learn more about the New B.C. Curriculum.   We included a label in the Student Planner of Friday which directs you to our VanierNews and the school webpage.

Communicating Student Learning

Please see the attached letter which describes three possible formats for communicating student learning this year in Surrey schools.  At Georges Vanier, many of our staff will be learning more about sharing student learning with  digital electronic portfolios, called FreshGrade.  Teacher who are using FreshGrade continuously, will not be expected to also produce traditional report cards at the end of each term.  Please expect communication from your child’s teacher regarding CSL plans for this year.
